Frequently Asked Questions

Korean corn dogs, handmade donuts, freshness, catering, and locations.

A few of the questions we hear most often, about how we make our food, where to find us, and how to bring Ugly Donuts to your next event.

What is a Korean corn dog?

A Korean corn dog is a street food favorite built around a skewered sausage or cheese center, hand dipped in batter, coated, and fried to order so the outside turns golden and crisp while the inside stays hot and melty. You can see the full range on our menu.

What makes Ugly Donuts' Korean corn dogs different?

Almost everything we serve is made to order rather than pulled from a warming case. We batter and fry each corn dog the moment you order it, we fry in 100 percent avocado oil, and we keep our menu focused on doing corn dogs and donuts exceptionally well.

Why are your donuts made to order?

Because fresh simply tastes better. Making each order fresh means you receive it warm and at its best, rather than something that has been sitting out, and it keeps our food waste far below the typical quick service range.

Are your donuts made fresh?

Yes. We make our doughs in house and fry and finish our donuts to order, so what reaches you is fresh rather than pre made and stored.

Why do you use 100 percent avocado oil?

Avocado oil has a high smoke point and a clean, neutral taste, so it fries crisp without heaviness and lets the flavor of the food come through. It is the only cooking oil we use, across every location.

Do you offer catering?

Yes. We cater events of many sizes, from office gatherings to celebrations. Share your date, guest count, and preferences on our catering page and our team will help plan it.

Where are your locations?

We operate stores at American Dream in New Jersey, in Bushwick (Brooklyn) and Forest Hills (Queens) in New York, and in Pearland, Texas. Find addresses, hours, and directions on our locations page.

Can I open an Ugly Donuts franchise?

We work with a small number of qualified multi unit operators. If you would like to learn more, you can start a conversation on our franchise page.
